Conservative dentistry is the discipline of keeping what you already have. A tooth that is repaired well is stronger, cheaper and better than a tooth that is replaced — and it is still yours.
Decay is removed under magnification, which is the only honest way to see where sound tooth ends and disease begins. Then the tooth is rebuilt in composite, shaded to disappear into the surfaces beside it.
Where a tooth is too far gone for a filling, the work moves to ceramic — an inlay, an onlay or a crown, designed digitally and made to fit rather than made to fill.
